Korean Cuisine

Rosslyn has a fairly large Korean community. The Koreans hold a yearly Korean dinner for the staff, and everyone raves about the food. The Korean teachers decided to hold Korean cooking lessons once a month for the rest of the year, and today was the first lesson. We made mung bean pancakes. They look like little egg omelets, minus eggs! You take yellow mung beans, soak them, put them in a blender with a little water, and it resembles pancake batter! You add hot pepper, onions, ground pork, bean sprouts, garlic and some seasonings, and then cook in a little oil on the stove. They were very tasty, especially dipped in soy sauce! We really enjoy eating all this food from different cultures here- Indian, Ethiopian, Japanese, Korean, Middle Eastern...
Here's a pic of me with my mung bean pancake!
